Hedgelaying 3 & 4 January 2009 In time honoured tradition the group will be burning up the extra calories taken on over Christmas by laying a hedge using traditional hedgelaying techniques - and probably a few non-traditional ones too. Meet at the entrance to Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre at 10am on both days.
Tree felling 6 December 2008 The group will be felling trees and clearing the land of unwanted vegetation or rubbish. Meet at the entrance to Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre at 10am.
Tree felling 1 November 2008 The group will be felling trees and clearing the area in the plantations near the lake. Meet at the lake at 10am.
Bramble Bashing 4 October 2008 The group will be "bramble bashing", in other words, clearing paths of the unwanted vegetation that has grown up over the summer. Meet at the entrance to the Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre at 10am.
Hay cut 6 September 2008 The group will be cutting the hay using traditional scythes in various patches of grassland begining with the Community Orchard. Meet at the entrance to the Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre at 10am.
Hay cut 2 August 2008 The group will be cutting the hay using traditional scythes on the grass land near Webb's Wood. Meet at the lake at 10am.
BTCV (British Trust for Conservation Volunteers) Green Gym Every Thursday morning BTCV run a Green Gym on the Three Brooks local nature reserve. The group meets on the reserve every Thursday from 10 am to 1pm with the aim of getting fit by carrying out conservation work and improving the environment.
