Local History

This page and the links from it contain some information about the history of the area now covered by the Three Brooks Local Nature Reserve and the area of Bradley Stoke.
Bradley Stoke was formed from the parishes of Stoke Gifford, Almondsbury and Winterbourne, albeit the contribution from Winterbourne is minor. An action still bitterly resented by some residents of those parishes.
		So the history of Bradley Stoke is largely the history of those parishes, or at least of sections of those parishes.
